2024 First Birthday Party Trends
Now that my little one is about to turn 2, and after having splurged to throw a totally epic and awesome first birthday party for her, I feel I have some authority to speak on the topic of First Birthday Party Trends! So what big trends are we seeing in 2024? Meri Meri did a fantastic job of capturing some predictions that we think are SPOT ON. So we’re highlighting our top 3 favorites from their review:
1. 2024 is truly all about the BOW!
One of our very first clients this year asked for a bow themed party for their daughter’s first birthday in April. Since they asked us for it - bows have exploded onto the event scene! Bows are a classic, timeless and delicate way to celebrate a birthday party (for any age!). We predict that bows will simply never go out of style and continue to be a popular choice for the long haul!
2. We love that FAIRYTALE themed parties are very much IN!
Whether it’s fairies, butterflies, mushroom and flower gardens or some magical mix, this whimsical theme is emerging as a 2024 hot trend! Zhuzh It Up Events has a “fairy and butterflies” themed first birthday party coming up this summer and we can’t wait to make it ethereal and eye-catching.
3. We’re going back to the 90s - FINALLY!
As a 90s baby, I’m THRILLED that 90s retro themed parties are in. My Spice Girl loving heart is doing cartwheels while attending to her Tamogotchi. We’ve already had a request for a “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” first birthday party this spring! Not only is RETRO in for kids, but for grown-ups too! Our neon signs and silent disco headphones are perfect for 90s themed parties for older kids and adults!
As a Mom who loves a good party, I knew I wanted my daughter’s first birthday to feel incredibly magical, memorable and fun! Her “pastel rainbow” themed day was just what I hoped it would be and was SO special! And what do you know, Pastels make Meri Meri’s list for 2024, so I guess you could call me a trendsetter! Haha!
