“Balloon Clues” Easter Egg Hunt
Earlier in March, we wrote about creative easter egg hunt party themes and we decided to test one out ourselves! Our daughter is two, so we decided to DIY the “Balloon Clues” egg hunt concept for an egg hunt on Easter morning!
So, what were the pros and what were the cons?!
PRO: It was ADORABLE! The pastel balloon colors we used gave off the perfect, most instagrammable Easter vibes!
CON: It was a super windy day, and the balloons got tangled REPEATEDLY. This was extremely annoying as a Mom who was trying to get some cute pics and of course more importantly (!) ensure her kiddo had a fun Easter morning. This was my biggest frustration with this concept - wind and “Balloon Clues” don’t mix!
PRO: Our daughter absolutely loved it! She had a blast running around and grabbing all of the balloons.
CON: Helium is expensive! While we only needed 6 balloons blown up for this egg hunt, if you do this for a larger group, or if you just choose to buy a helium tank, it’s pricey!
PRO: It was SO much fun to pair the pastel balloons with disco eggs. We stuffed them with adorable animal finger puppets (she did not need more chocolate - her grandparents and great aunts spoiled her with enough!).
Overall, we would do it again but I’d keep each balloon far apart from the others and would hope that we avoid a windy Easter morning. I encourage you to try this idea out for next year’s Easter egg hunt party!
